About Coach Deirdre

Deirdre Jones-Lowman is a dynamic motivational speaker, social entrepreneur, and executive/life coach with a passion for engaging communities and empowering individuals. She is a social justice
advocate having partnered with local and regional human services, for-profit and non-profit organizations to advocate for fair housing rights, unemployment, youth empowerment, women’s rights, and self-care. Deirdre is currently a PhD candidate in Human and Social Services
Administration at Walden University, where in 2009, she successfully completed her Master of Business Administration with Honors, in Strategic Human Resource Management. She also graduated with Honors from Knoxville College, a historically black college located in Knoxville, TN
with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and English.

Deirdre is a self-care advocate who believes that being wounded, feeling stuck or having a broken spirit does not mean that you are not worthy. Understanding and knowing your value, is the first act of self-care. Self-Care is self-preservation, self-care is knowing yourself, believing in yourself,
and standing up for yourself. As a social entrepreneur, wife, mother, and student, Deirdre recognized the importance of taking care of one’s self and in 2016, started The Pay It Forward Initiative, as a self-care movement for working women which offers life coaching and HR consulting services to organizations and individuals who are ready to Take Charge and Move forward.

As the Managing Director and Founder of the Pay It Forward Initiative, a career and life management service, Deirdre is a certified, professional life coach, credentialed through the International Coaching Federation. She currently holds active memberships in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated; National Organization of Human Services; the International Coaching Federation and the American Psychological Association. Deirdre has served on the board of the Daughters of Isis Foundation (Queens, NY); and serves as a founding board member of the Liberty Pearls Foundation (Philadelphia, PA). She is also one of the Principal Founders of Empowered
Community Development Corporation, a nonprofit, human services organization in SW Philadelphia.
